During my ibu's family day at Cherating, we took our time not to miss the opportunity to visit the turtle santuary at Cherating. The place is located near Club Med cherating, just next door.
The pics below, we took the day before we went there. We went that evening just to looked around the place. We took a few pics at the beach near the club med and the santuary. Me and my parents quite fascinated with the sand at the beach. It does not like the beach at Cherating - halus dan putih. Here, the sand - kasar and kekuningan...yang pasti, tak melekat langsung dekat kaki! Maybe this type of sand the turtle like most to lay their eggs.

Me, at the sanctuary of the turtle's egg. Close up at the 'bangsal'. At the 'blue' small, small cages inside, they stated the date and the total amount of egg they layed in each of the cage.
At the back of the sanctuary, there's a pond they put the turtles!
There are 2 types of turtle, Penyu Lipas and Penyu Agar. But the 'Lipas' are sooooo beautiful...I like it!
See....cantik kan? Ada a few dalam kolam ni...ini anak dia..
Haaa....ini mother dia. Besar....sama besar dengan yaya kot..hehe. First time in my life, i got to see such a big turtle...yang cantik pulak tu! Dia ni aktif sangat...berenang sana sini..
Ini penyu agar, lagi satu type. Besar juga...tapi tak seaktif yang Lipas tu...
Tisya tengokkan, penyu ni bila dia berenang...dia akan naik ke permukaan air utk bernafas, and bila dia bernafas, kuat bunyinya, mcm bunyi org mengeluh....'hmmmph...', terkejut Tisya mula tu. Kalau penyu kecik, maybe kita tak dgr sgt...ini sebab yang besar Yaya tu, mmg kuat bunyinya...
Here's the little one! Sooooooooooooooooo, cute....semua mcm baru nak belajar berenang! Berebut2 nak berkumpul...and dia mcm tau, ada org aje, dia dtg dekat...
Dengarnya....yang kecik kecik ni tunggu masa akan dilepaskan ke lautan. Untuk mulakan hidup barunya. So long and farewell lil' ones. Good luck for the real world out there....sob..sob.,.sob.. sedih juga Tisya, harap2 panjangla umur dia untuk hadapi cabaran di luar sana! Sebab tengok dia kecik2....tanpa ibu dia, dia kena survive utk hidup.. Tisya tak boleh bayangkan diri Tisya tanpa ibu.... Tapi itulah lumrah kehidupan penyu. Ibu dia bertelur, and tinggalkan anak dia... Agaknya tu sebab ibu dia menangis bila bertelur...sian kan. Tapi ayah kata dia bukan menangis. Dia akan keluarkan air mata utk bersihkan mata dia bila kena pasir. Hmm....mungkin juga. Hanya Allah yang tahu...!
Ok, lepas puas tengok penyu kami jalan2 ke Kemaman. Nak beli keropok lekor and such...
Tisya dekat satu kedai di satu perkampungan nelayan dekat Kemaman, pantai Mek Nah ke or Mek Nab, tapi nama orang putih dia...Monica's Bay...hehehehe, nama glamor Mek Nab...hehe
Ayah minat nak beli siput2 ni...tp dia kata....tak de tmpat nak letak. Dia tak jadi beli. Ayah kata tunggu nanti, dia nak mula hias rumah. Dia nak beli buat hiasan. Bila tu yayah? hehe
Banyak kedai yang jual siput ni. Sebelah jual keropok lekor...sebelah lagi ada siput and cenderahati.
